Pilot ditches plane in river; no one hurt

LOYALHANNA TOWNSHIP — A pilot guided his small, troubled airplane into the Kiskiminetas River near Saltsburg on Sunday afternoon, safely swam to shore, then helped to dismantle the plane so a water rescue team could float it to dry land.

Three killed in head-on crash near Ford City

FORD CITY (AP) — Three people were killed in a head-on collision between two vehicles, one of which was apparently traveling on the wrong side of a divided Armstrong County highway, police said.
