George Lester Allred – Obituary | The Quad-Cities Daily


George Lester Allred, 75, passed away suddenly Monday, December 8, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1939, in Tupelo to Clovis and Edna Cook Allred. He served three years in the United States Marines and was a pilot and roofing contractor. He was a member and deacon of Dorsey Baptist Church. He was a fireman, farmer, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.


Services will be at 11 a. m. Friday, December 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.


Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Noneaker Allred; four sons, Jeff Allred (Cheryl) of Hemet, CA, Steve Allred (Michelle) of Mantachie, Randy Allred of Baldwyn, and Richard Allred of Tupelo; three daughters, Cindy Sanders (Greg) of Guntown, Barbara Mason of Murrietta, CA, and Christina Prestage (Michele) of Wheeler; four sisters, Nancy Graham (Eddie) and Ruth Dobbs, both of Mantachie, Margaret Goff of Saltillo, and Grace Bailey of Tupelo; 15 grandchildren, Tommy Mason, Andy Mason, Chelsea Farmer, Jessica Underwood, Ashley Allred, Reed Allred, Chloe Allred, Alex Allred, Peyton Allred, Ayla Allred, Mason Prestage, Landon Prestage, Georgia Allred, Layne Allred, and Joshua Allred; and six great-grandchildren, Lilah Allred, Zoey Farmer, Jayla Hood, Emma Hood, Jayden Spradlin, and Harley Underwood.


He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Allred.


Pallbearers will be Brian Williams, Brian Noneaker, Leslie Noneaker, Mason Prestage, Landon Prestage, Alex Allred, and Reed Allred.


Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Thursday, December 11, at the funeral home.
