So, it looks like many people didn't know Idris Elba could sing and rap. A short video clip of the multi-talented British actor circulated around social media earlier today, showing off Idris' rap skills, and it took many by surprise.

The 43-year-old actor who is best known for his roles in "Obsessed," "Takers," "Daddy's Little Girls," "This Christmas" and many more, used to work in nightclubs and make appearances during his teenage years under the nickname DJ Big Driis.

Idris has appeared in music videos for Fat Joe and Angie Stone. He also has producer credits for the intro to Jay-Z's 2007 American Gangster album and for K. Michelle's The Rebellious Soul Musical, and he has music videos and EP's.
Idris also rapped in a remix of Skepta's "Shutdown" which was uploaded this year to SoundClound. Check out some of his bars below:
