Rihanna held her first annual Diamond Ball event, Thursday night, on behalf of her charity, The Clara Lionel Foundation. The foundation, founded in 2012 in honor of her late grandmother, Clara Brathwaite and grandfather Lionel Brathwaite, funds efforts promoting health, education, arts and culture globally.
The event was well attended by the singer’s celebrity guests, close family and friends. Attendees included Kim K and Kris Jenner, Terrence Jenkins, Tyrese, Tia Mowry and husband Cory Hardrict, Gloria Govan and the singer’s mom, Monica Fenty and grandfather, Lionel “Bravo” Brathwaite.
Sadly, the singer’s grandmother, Clara “Dollie” Brathwaite, passed away in 2012 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Rihanna, who wore a beautiful Zac Posen gown, even performed during the ball. Here’s a clip of the singer’s performance below.
