Captain America: The Winter Soldier topped this weekend’s box office with a $41.4 million gross!
According to THR, the superhero sequel, starring Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson, raked in $476.1 million worldwide, already passing the first film’s $370.6 million total.
Coming in at No. 2 was the animated flick Rio 2, starring the voices of Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway, which brought in $39 million.
Taking the third spot was the horror film Oculus, which earned a total of $12 million.
Rounding out the top five were Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner‘s Draft Day and Divergent, which grossed $9.8 million and $7.5 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, at the specialty box office, Only Lovers Left Alive, starring Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton, and Mia Wasikowska, opened in four theaters to an impressive $24,244 theater average.
