Train Wreck Update: NBC Blasts Obamacare Exchanges - 'The Focus of Ridicule' and 'A Complete Mess'

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Via The Washington Free Beacon:

NBC's Nightly News reported on the disastrous rollout of Obamacare Thursday night, with correspondent Tom Costello calling the website "the focus of ridicule" and quoting experts who could hardly fathom a "worse launch of a nationwide site."

Anchor Brian Williams introduced the segment by acknowledging Obamacare's problems would be receiving more media attention if not for the government shutdown.

"If it weren't for the shutdown dominating the news, we admittedly would be hearing and covering a lot more about how things are going for these new health care exchanges, which were rolled out ten days ago," Williams said. "Millions of uninsured Americans are being encouraged to go to healthcare.gov to sign up for coverage but it's been a very rocky start."

More here.

Over and over we see yet further evidence that the GOP has been right from before day 1 of the shutdown. At the very least, the individual mandate should have been delayed at least a year.

And as bad as Obamacare sign-up has been, just wait until you get to see it in full operation and see what the Dems' folly is costing you in both money and care. Soon everyone will realize that the 'Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act' does not protect patients and is not affordable ... either to the individual who pays for it (unless you're getting it for free courtesy of the taxpayers and those paying extra to cover you), nor to our nation upon which it becomes another entitlement we have to borrow to pay for.
