MILFORD – The premiere performance of “Princess KIM The Musical” is coming to the Amato Center, in Milford, from Oct. 3-6 with five shows.


This New Hampshire-grown original play was created by Amherst author/

illustrator, Maryann Cocca-Leffler, with Toby Tarnow, of Hollis, as co-adapter, Andrew Cass, of Milford, as lyricist/composer, and Premik Russell Tubbs, of New York City, as composer/arranger.


“K.I.M.” is based on Cocca-Leffler’s Princess KIM children’s books, published by Albert Whitman & Co. This upbeat, humorous musical is family-friendly and touches on universal themes, such as honesty, love and friendship and features a variety of original music.


“K.I.M.” is directed by Tarnow and has a cast of 26, including Alyssa Saunders, of Amherst, as Kim; Ellen Cunis, of Amherst, as Grandma Betty; and Kevin Linkroum, of Nashua, as Dad. Production team members include music director Sally Landis, choreographer Bruce Williams, co-producers Cocca-Leffler and Rita Piotrowski and costume designer Michelle Withers.


Five shows are scheduled for Oct. 3-6, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday at the Amato Center for the Performing Arts, 56 Mont Vernon St., Milford.
