Big Bear Lake, CA – A panel of experts will follow the screening of “Teenage $ex 4 $ale” on Thursday, June 6, at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Big Bear Lake. It’s all part of a special evening of awareness, presented by the Big Bear Valley Coalition Against Sexual Trafficking.


HUMAN TRF WordsThe free presentation — featuring special guests Third District Supervisor James Ramos and District Attorney Michael Ramos, Tiana Hahn, and Bear Valley Unified Superintendent Kurt Madden — starts at 6 p.m.


THE AWARENESS EVENT


Panelists will include Sarah Gallegos – DOVES; Julann Warren, Director of Common Ground former Big Bear Middle School Family Advisor; Melissa Rodriguez, District Attorney’s Office; Anne-Michelle Ellis, Coordinator of CASE (Coalition Against Sexual Exploitation); Big Bear Sheriff Captain Tom Bradford, and San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon.


Local resource organizations and agencies have also been invited to be available at the PAC. They include Big Bear Recovery Services, Breakthrough Task Force, Healthy Start Student Support Program, Lutheran Social Services, Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley, Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake, DOVES, California Highway Patrol, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Big Bear Station.

“Teenage $ex 4 $ale: Human Trafficking In San Bernardino County” is a short documentary, produced by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office, focusing on the problem of sexual exploitation in the nation’s largest county.


From boastful pimps preying on young women, to one woman’s quest to open a home for female victims, the documentary highlights a unique coalition of government agencies and how they’re reaching deep into the community to eradicate human trafficking.


The documentary is not appropriate for children. However, childcare will be provided by the Rainbow Kids.
