If anyone can make the referee look sexy, it’s Beyonce. The superstar songstress is set to perform this weekend at the Super Bowl halftime show. In a promo pic for the big event, Beyonce posted this fashion-forward football inspired photo on her website in which she sports a referee jersey with skin-tight short-shorts and thigh-high stiletto boots. B is even wearing black nail polish to match her black under-eye reflective makeup.
Beyonce will perform this Sunday at the the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and the biggest rumour of the week is obviously the insider gossip that B will be joined by her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child reunion during the halftime show. So far, the girls have been denying the Destiny’s Child reunion rumours, but we can’t help but think back to last year when the Spice Girls denied that they were reuniting for the Olympics ceremonies in London and then they all showed up for the closing ceremonies riding on top of British taxi cabs. Maybe the Destiny’s Child reunion rumours have more truth to them than the girls want us to believe. B is allegedly beginning the show with her hit single “Crazy in Love,” but then the three girls are rumoured to be joining forces to sing a medley of their greatest hits, which will begin with “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Survivor” and end with “Nuclear.” We haven’t been this excited for a reunion since the Spice Girls.
Obviously, Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance has a lot of people talking ever since she was rumoured to have lip-synched the American national anthem at President Barack Obama’s inauguration. We all know the girl can sing! We can’t wait for her to prove all the haters wrong… and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a Destiny’s Child reunion.
